How the quote process works

  1. 1. You send us your postcode + rough requirements

Takes 60 seconds. Bandwidth, term length preference, and any dealbreakers (e.g. IPv4 block, SIP trunks, dual circuit for resilience).

  2. 2. We check which carriers can serve your postcode

Openreach, Cityfibre, Colt, Virgin Media Business, Neos Networks, Zzoomm and 15+ others cover different UK postcodes. Not every carrier serves every address — we filter that first.

  3. 3. You get 3+ real quotes within 24 hours

Not headline pricing — actual line-item quotes covering monthly rental, install fees, any ECCs specific to your building, SLA tier, and hardware.

  4. 4. You compare, negotiate, decide — or walk away

Independent, no fee, no obligation. We'll flag which quote gives you the best £/Mbps and explain any differences in fine print.

What a good leased line quote looks like

Any carrier quote should itemise all of the following. If a quote hides these behind "call for details", walk away.

  • Monthly rental (ex-VAT)
  • Contract term (12/36/60 months)
  • Install fee — including whether ECCs are absorbed or extra
  • Bearer speed AND port speed (e.g. 1 Gbps bearer, 200 Mbps port)
  • SLA — uptime %, fix time, service credits
  • Router / CPE hardware included or extra
  • IPv4 allocation (a /29 block is standard; /28 or larger costs more)
  • Early exit terms (if you sell the business or move)

Frequently asked questions

How long does it take to get a leased line quote?

Indicative quotes come back within a few hours. A confirmed quote — including any Excess Construction Charges specific to your postcode — takes 3–5 working days because carriers need to run a physical survey against Openreach or Cityfibre's fibre map.

What information do I need to request a quote?

Just your business postcode, building name or number, and the bandwidth you're after. If you don't know the bandwidth, tell us how many users rely on cloud tools daily and we'll size it correctly. Company registration number helps carriers pre-approve pricing but isn't required for an initial quote.

Is getting a leased line quote free?

Yes, always. Every UK leased line carrier provides free no-obligation quotes because the sales cycle is long and competitive. There is no fee to request, receive, or reject quotes.

How many quotes should I compare?

Three is the minimum. The price spread on identical spec is routinely 30–50% between the cheapest and most expensive carrier for the same building. Five quotes gives you real negotiating leverage.

What happens after I accept a quote?

Carrier orders the circuit from Openreach or Cityfibre (5–10 working days), schedules the fibre install (typically 45–90 working days end-to-end), then activates the service. You cancel your existing broadband once the leased line is live.
